Development Process

All proposals for commercial, industrial, office, mixed use, and multi-family residential development must be reviewed by the City’s boards and commissions and ultimately approved by City Council.  The links below provide information regarding the City’s development review process and downloadable application forms.  All applicants are advised to contact the City’s Building, Engineering and/or Planning Departments for guidance through the review process.

The development review process is described in Chapter 1126 of the Zoning Code.

The City of North Olmsted offers various business incentives, including Enterprise Zone tax abatement, Community Reinvestment tax abatement, and a local Job Creation Grant Program.
