Ward 3 Councilman Paul Schumann was appointed in February 2011. He had served as Chairman of the North Olmsted Landmarks Commission since 2007 and as a Landmarks Commissioner since 2004. He has been serving as President of The Olmsted Historical Society since 2008 and in officer roles previously.  Mr. Schumann currently serves as Chairman of the Intra-Governmental Relations Committee, Vice Chair of the Finance Committee, and is a member of the Public Safety, Health & Welfare Committee.

A 25 year resident of North Olmsted, Paul is proud to have been active in many community organizations including the North Olmsted Band and Orchestra Boosters and the North Olmsted High School S.I.T.E.S. Program. 

He and his wife Julia Anne Schumann make their home in a historic house on Butternut Ridge. They have three children – Erik, a law student at Ohio State who is married to Samantha Prince Schumann (formerly of North Olmsted); Chelsea, a music and business major at Bowling Green; and Alec, a percussion studies major at Kent State.
