Mr. Kearney has been a resident of North Olmsted for eighteen years. He was elected to the position of Councilman-at-Large in November of 2007 and began serving a four-year term on January 1, 2008. He is the chairperson of the Recreation, Public Parks and Buildings Committee, vice chairperson of the BZD Comittee, and a member of the Finance Committee. Kevin also serves as Council's representative to the Recreation Commission, Cable TV Advisory Board, and Housing Council.

Kevin is a graduate of St. Joseph High School in Cleveland and attended Kent State University where he majored in Criminal Justice.He is a member of the Laborers Local 310 and has held various leadership positions including Union Steward, Foreman, General Foreman, and Judge of Elections.He currently works as a Trades Foreman. Kevin and his wife Margaret are the proud parents of Brian, Molly and Sean.He is a member of St. Bernadette Parish and has coached CYO Boys Basketball, CYO Girls Softball, and CYO Girls Volleyball.
