City of North Olmsted Branding Initiative

The City of North Olmsted is pleased to announce the adoption of a new logo as part of a greater community branding and gateway signage project initiated by the City.  Mayor Kevin M. Kennedy unveiled the new logo at the City Council meeting of September 21, 2010.  The new identity features a traditional image of the community, playing with negative space to depict both the trees and homes representative of North Olmsted's appealing streets.  The logo speaks clearly to the City's maturity and longevity.   The City intends to use the new logo to replace aging gateway signage.  The new entry signs will provide a warm welcome to residents and visitors alike.

The logo was designed by Cleveland-based branding consultancy and environmental graphic design firm Studio Graphique, with oversight from a City Branding Committee comprised of staff and North Olmsted community members. The design also draws upon community feedback expressed at a public meeting held in May 2010.

Safetynet Program

The purpose of the Westshore Regional Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) Safetynet Program is to compile a confidential database of special needs residents in the Westshore Communities. If a disaster were to occur, large or small, volunteer members may be activated to make contact with Safetynet registered residents in the affected areas to check on their welfare and help meet their emergency needs; a caring connection of neighbors helping neighbors.
