The pool is great for exercise because the water offers resistance while reducing the impact of land-based exercises. Water fitness classes are a fun way to exercise, and the low-impact workout builds strength and flexibility for people of all ages. Admission to water exercise classes is included in your monthly or annual memberships.

Why swim team?
This is a fun and inclusive team that will provide excellent coaching to all levels! This program is designed to provide conditioning, stroke and turn drills, and competition. The season consists of rotating meets and a championship meet. Meets occur at either the Rec Center or at “away” team’s pool. The season culminates with a championship meet between all teams at NORC. We provide a positive atmosphere where swimmers of all ages can reach their goals through the guidance of our coaching staff. Together with our families we encourage team spirit, sportsmanship and personal empowerment. Coaches teach proper stroke technique in an environment where kids are encouraged, engaged, and inspired. Each practice is designed to help the swimmers become stronger and more confident in the water. The goal for each swimmer at the start of practices is to swim 25 yards, preferably in both freestyle and backstroke. However, if a swimmer is unable to accomplish this, we will work with them to get them up to speed as quickly as possible.
Ages
5 years old to high school age, including the 4th summer season as a high school participant.
Member age is established on June 1.
