North Olmsted Parks & Recreation encourages and supports an active lifestyle. Adult and little leagues, ice skating, water aerobics or a stroll in the park – our programs and facilities welcome everyone into the fold and onto the field. The North Olmsted Arts Commission along with North Olmsted Parks & Recreation present free Yoga in the Park — at North Olmsted Park. Just a reminder that due to COVID-19, registration is limited and will be required for this event. All participants will be required to maintain social distancing during practice. Registration can be done at North Olmsted Recreation Center or online at https://tinyurl.com/ybcm4kbg
Join fabulous instructors as they lead you through a yoga practice under the warmth of the sun, weather permitting. Classes are perfect for all levels of experience and all ages. Bring your friends, family, and neighbors to experience the freedom of practicing yoga in the open air. In cases of rain, our practice will be held inside of the North Olmsted Community Cabin. Class starts promptly at 10:00 AM, please arrive at 9:30 AM. Registration is required and can be done at North Olmsted Recreation Center.
Bring your favorite four-legged family member to enjoy a day in the pool at North Olmsted Recreation Center on Sunday, September 27, 2020. As our outdoor pool season comes to an end, register your furry friend for a refreshing last dip in the pool. Local vendors will be on-site to provide useful and helpful information. Small dogs (under 30 lbs.) will be held from 11:00 – 12:00 PM while large dogs (over 30 lbs.) will be from 12:00 – 1:00 PM. Registration is $5 per dog.
Join our safe, socially-distanced and family-friendly event on Friday, October 23, 2020 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM. Stay in your car and enjoy the drive as you meander throughout our spooky parking lot full of tricks and treats for your children. Community Partner’s will be passing out candy to children, along your trail and take home a pumpkin at the end of your visit (while supplies last). Fee is $10 per vehicle.
Will begin on September 14, 2020 and the deadline to register is October 19, 2020 or until the maximum number of participants have been reached. During registration, you will be asked for the number of children that will be attending. Day of registration is prohibited.
Be prepared to drive slowly and stop frequently. Please bring either a digital or printed copy of your receipt with you. Please arrive between your designated time block and do not arrive prior to your designated time. Large vehicles such as trucks, buses, etc. or any vehicle that seems unsafe by recreation staff is prohibited.
This event will take place in substandard weather conditions; however, if the weather turns inclement and becomes unsafe, the event will be cancelled and no refunds will be given.
