It is with a heavy heart that I must tell you, Ice Show 2020 has been canceled. The CDC is now recommending that no events with more than 10 people take place in the next two months. Given that the recreation center is currently closed, keeping us from practice, and our crowds are usually several hundred people, we do not feel that Ice Show will be able to occur safely. This decision was not made lightly, as Ice Show is a decades old tradition.
We have received all of the costumes already. We are able to return them if you would like. We will leave that option up to you. I need everyone to fill out the linked form. If you do not fill out the form, we will assume you want to keep your costume and a refund will not be issued. No other fees associated with Ice Show will appear in your account. Refunds will not be issued for a few weeks, as the North Olmsted Parks & Recreation staff is currently navigating the current closure. If you would like to keep your costume, it will be available to pick it up at the front desk when the Recreation Center opens back up. I need the form below to be filled out by Sunday, March 27, 2020 to allow for returns.
I want to thank everyone for his or her willingness to participate in the show. Thank you to our small group and specialty skaters for the extra effort as well. I am heartbroken that the show will not occur, but this is the decision that makes sense for everyone. I know this will disappoint many skaters and parents, trust me when I say we are disappointed too. Our first priority is the safety and health of our skaters. We will continue our ice show tradition in 2021.
Stay healthy everyone,
