Fitness

The fitness center offers a wide variety of cardio machines, strength equipment and free weights. Our equipment is state of the art, user friendly and great for beginners. Fitness attendants are on duty to ensure smooth operation of the equipment and answer your questions. The fitness center is for members and guests 12 years of age and older.

Facility Rules

Attention Members starting April 1, 2024, all members ages 12-16 years old are required to complete a mandatory fitness center orientation before they can use the facility. You will also need to sign in at the fitness desk in addition to checking in at the front desk on a daily basis.

Orientations are the 1st Tuesday and the 3rd Thursday of each month from 4:30-5:30 pm. Please register at the front desk. If you cannot make either of those days/times, contact Kerrie Riolo Fitness Supervisor at [email protected] or 440-716-4129 to make an appointment.

Uses a mix of ballet, jazz, Pilates, and yoga for body definition.

A 45-minute total body strength training class that uses handheld weights, elastic resistance and body weight to sculpt, tone and build muscle! This quick and effective workout is great for all fitness levels.

A class based on interval training. Participants warm up with cardio and dynamic stretching, then move on to complete 6 interval sets. Each set starts out with a cardio exercise, then concludes with a total body strength exercise.

Rock-it!! A jam session inspired by the energizing and infectious intensity of playing drums! A fusion of cardio and strength.

Get ripped! Carlie’s already-proven circuit training uses both body weight and various equipment at different stations for a complete-body workout.

Indoor group exercise performed on stationary bikes. Class includes the simulation of hill-climbing, sprints and races. You will be kept motivated by the instructor, the people around you and the music! A fantastic cardiovascular workout. Water and a towel are a must.

Take your workout to the next level with Step It Up!  This 45-minute class uses step platforms to challenge coordination and increase intensity during cardio and strength training.  80% cardio/20% strength.

A high-intensity interval training for a total-body workout using body weight and dumbbells.  All fitness levels.

Beginning Yoga: The experience of balance and harmony through a slow and mindful practice. Replace stress with relaxation.

Boom Yoga: Takes the best of Yoga and Pilates and combines into one fusion class.  Relax the body and mind with peaceful music and invigorating movements.

Chair Yoga: Relax the body and mind with peaceful music and invigorating movements. Chairs provided.

Gentle Yoga Stretch: Calm your mind and relax your body. Melt away stress and tension in an hour of gentle, traditional Yoga moves. Perfect for beginners!

Hatha Yoga: Linking breath to movement, this traditional flowing style will develop balance, flexibility, and strength.  All levels welcome!

Yogi-Lates: Blends the intensity of Pilates with the calming effect of Yoga for a winning combination!

It’s an exhilarating, effective, easy-to-follow, Latin-inspired, calorie burning dance fitness party that’s moving millions of people around the world toward joy and health. Zumba Fitness incorporates Latin and an international rhythm to create a challenging workout that is like a fitness party!

This is not a SilverSneakers class, but all seniors and veterans of any age are encouraged to attend! This 45-minute class starts with a quick warm-up, stretching and then movement. Specifically designed to work out those kinks.

Combine fun with fitness to increase your cardiovascular and muscular endurance power with a standing circuit workout. Upper-body strength work with hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles and a SilverSneakers ball is alternated with low-impact aerobics choreography. Chair offered for support.

Move to music through a variety of exercises designed to increase muscular strength, range of movement and activities for daily living. Hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles and a SilverSneakers ball are offered for resistance. A chair is available if needed for seated or standing support.

This class will move your whole body through a complete series of seated and standing yoga poses designed to increase flexibility, balance and range of movement. Restorative breathing exercises and final relaxations will promote stress reduction and mental clarity.

Personal Training

Personal training sessions are the most popular service we provide at Prescription Fitness. This individual attention is the most effective way to reach your goals. A personal training session includes a health screening, exercise history and goal setting. We will do a body composition analysis, record your weight and take your measurements on a monthly basis. You will also receive phone support throughout the week. This is all included in your 60 minute personal training session fee. Learn more
