Our Adult and Youth program offers year round opportunities to participate in a variety of competitive and challenging activities. With the changing of each season bring new programs.

Programs

Youth Volleyball

Teams from North Olmsted will play teams from surrounding communities so travel is required.  Practices will start at the end of August and matches will be played from late September through mid-November on Saturday’s.  Coaches needed, please contact Tim Campbell at 440-716-4214 or campbellt@north-olmsted.com for more information.  Registration starts July 20th.

Additional Programs

Soccer

Soccer Shots: Ages 2-8
This program is an engaging children’s soccer program with a focus on character development. The goal of the program is to positively impact children both on and off the field through coaching, curriculum, and communication. Weekly sessions include a warm-up, skill and character word of the week, fun games, goal scoring, and a scrimmage.

Mini Program : 2-3 year olds
Classic Program: 3-5 year olds
Premier Program: 5-8 year olds

Jump Start Sports Hoop Stars

Coaches from Jump Start Sports will run this instructional and recreational basketball program for children in grades pre-K to 2nd.  Players are taught the basics of dribbling, passing, shooting, positioning, defense, and rebounding, and then apply what they have learned in fun, non-competitive games. Players will be assigned to teams and each session will include a game as well the instruction.  Class will take place at Birch Elementary, 24100 Palm Dr.

Little Hoops Stars        Pre K – K         Thursday’s      11/3 – 12/15 (no class 11/24)        5:30-6:30 or 6:30-7:30

Hoop Stars                  1st – 2nd            Wednesday’s    11/2 – 12/14 (no class 11/23)       5:30-6:30 or 6:30-7:30

Baseball

Jump Start T-Birds T-Ball: Ages 3-4
A fun and highly instructional introduction to baseball for 3 – 4 year old boys and girls. Players learn the basics of throwing, catching, fielding, batting, and base running, and then apply what they have learned in fun, non-competitive games. Jump Start Sports staff members conduct the instruction and oversee the game play while volunteer parent team coaches assist.
This program runs much smoother with parent help! Parents have the option to either be a committed weekly coach or just be involved and help out with simple tasks whenever they are able to attend the program.

North Olmsted Parks & Recreation has partnered with the Positive Coaching Alliance to benefit the youth athletes of our community.
