Oxcart Pantry
To better serve you, all services are by appointment only. Please call for an appointment to complete an application for assistance. We are open Tuesdays 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Wednesdays 8:30 AM to 6:00 PM and Thursdays 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM.
Individuals and families qualified for assistance will be eligible to receive assistance every 30 days. Appointments for Wednesday pick-up times are typically scheduled in 10-minute intervals. Some exceptions to regular schedules are made during the holiday season and will be posted in advance.
Nutrition is important to us! We strive to have fresh produce on hand whenever possible along with healthier choices like low fat milk, wheat pasta and brown rice. We know that health related problems can often by improved with good nutrition. If you are unfamiliar with some products, just ask us for recipes, our staff will be glad to assist.
Eligibility Requirements
- Recipient must be an established resident (homeowner or renter with a lease agreement) of the City of North Olmsted.
- Recipient must meet certain income guidelines. The Oxcart Pantry uses income tables reflecting 200% of poverty according to Federal guidelines.
- There are no restrictions based upon age, religion, nationality, gender or sexual orientation.
- Assistance is limited to one application per household.
The following documents are necessary to complete an application for assistance:
- Proof of Residency: Current local utility billing statement showing name and address
- Photo ID: Driver’s License or State ID
Community Gardens
Provides a community gardening activity for local residents on the grounds of the Oxcart Pantry. Hosting 18 raised bed gardens and 3 handicapped accessible off the ground units. Gardeners provide own seeds/plants and can use their harvest to supplement personal food resources and/or donate to the pantry. Pantry plants and manages 2 plots and cares for apple trees.
