Mayor's Office

Mayor Nicole Dailey Jones
Letter from the Mayor

On January 1, 2022 I was honored to be sworn in as the second female Mayor of the City of North Olmsted and the City’s 18th Mayor. I am proud to raise my family here and have my parents reside in the community.

North Olmsted is a vibrant, family-friendly City with many wonderful amenities, including excellent shopping, wonderful restaurants, beautiful parks and connectivity to the Cleveland Metroparks.  We also have easy access to Cleveland Hopkins International Airport and the nearby NASA Glenn Research Center.

I want to keep our City moving forward. My administration has made many improvements for our residents, including establishing an extremely popular “Healthy Homes Program” and the “Fix Our Fronts” storefront renovation program, upgrading our technology, implementing a new system to allow our residents to apply for building permits and file property maintenance complaints online.

We are in the beginning stages of seeing the largest housing boom in the City since the early 2000's. We are investing in our beloved North Olmsted Park. We have a full-time, in-house Economic and Community Development Director for the first time in the City’s history, and we are continuing to tackle issues like flooding by making significant investments in storm water and wastewater infrastructure.

Safety is a top priority of my administration and I am committed to investing in it to keep our residents and community as safe as possible.  In addition to hiring three additional full-time firefighters, we have purchased body cameras and new bullet- proof vests for police. These are just a few examples of the upgrades we have made and continue to make with regard to public safety.

It’s a very exciting time to live and work in North Olmsted.  I am thankful the residents have entrusted me to serve as their Mayor.  We have accomplished many things, but there is a lot more still left to do.

If you are having issues with City services or have ideas on how to improve things, the door is always open. Please do not hesitate to reach out to my office and we will be sure to help in any way we can.

It takes all of us being involved and engaged to continue moving North Olmsted forward.  Let’s all keep working hard to make it the best place to live, work and raise a family, and be a sought-after destination City.
